- We have considerably reduced water consumption and water costs on the estate.
- We use plant based /phosphate free cleaning products and recycled paper products.
- Within skincare we use organically certified ingredients from sustainable sources (replaced the use of all Palm oil for Shea butter)
- The entire skincare range uses recyclable packaging, jars & labels and plant based inks in printing material.
- In the garden we use organic fertilisers and keep all pesticides to a minimum.
- All mulch material and compost is produced on the estate or sourced locally.
- The gardens are managed using conservation and habitat creation as a priority.
- Logs from felling provides free wood for wood burner in Tea room plus wood piles created to encourage natural habitats for small mammals, invertebrates etc.
- Plant Sales stock is sourced from small local independent nurseries.
- Volunteers-weekly basis for garden.
- Catering suppliers are local, supporting the community and reducing transport miles. Minimum deliveries are adhered to, to be cost effective and sustainable.
- Fairtraded and organic food products sourced where possible. Locally produced food utilised wherever possible.
